Michindoh's Outdoor Education Philosophy
• Students will have opportunities to discover something new about the
environment where we live, the part we play, and our responsibilities to the environment.
• Students will experience living with other individuals and develop life skills such as cooperation, teamwork, trust, citizenship, and building friendships. Conflict resolution, empathy, respect, and many other positive moral values are represented and encouraged at the Outdoor Education School.
• Students will be able to set up and explain how to develop realistic goals. The OES provides students with opportunities to set goals in a safe environment. The students have the constant support of the OES staff, their classroom teacher, cabin leaders, and peers to help them succeed.
